Exfoliate:

Just like any other part of the skin, lips also need exfoliation. Basically, exfoliation is the removal of dead cells that are formed on the outermost layer of the skin. It keeps your lips from getting chapped and makes them softer and smoother. It also increases blood circulation to your lips and makes them appear healthy. When lips are free from flakes, it causes your lipstick to last longer than you imagine.

Moisturize:

Everyday due to various different reasons like frequent exposure to cold or hot weather or habitual licking, your lips might get chapped and flaky. So, to avoid that you need to apply a lip balm to keep them moist all the time. Lip Line:

Lip liner gives subtle shape to your lips and helps keep the lipstick from smudging and smearing. It helps the lip color to say intact, contributing much to a long lasting lipstick. Choose the color of your lip liner carefully. It should just be one shade darker than your natural lip color or the color of the lipstick you apply.

Blot:

Lipstick contains oils and other factors that could cause it to smudge easily. So, to prevent that from happening, blotting your lipstick is very important. Take a 2 ply tissue paper, pull it apart to have only 1 ply and press it lightly over your lips. Blotting is the secret trick among make up artists and beauty gurus to make your lip color last for a very long time.

Set with a translucent powder:
